#43 ~ Exaggerating Idiosyncrasies

The fires are burning in another land as I once again visit with Vince Corda, drummer extraordinaire for The Genesis Show, a South Jersey based cover band that continues to grow fans and expand venues as they faithfully recreate the ’81 Abacab and ‘82 Encore tours. It’s a slippery set list that until now was rarely played live, and never with such enthusiastic passion and satiating precision since the original members of Genesis performed the songs themselves.

This episode is a veritable Who Dunnit as we learn about the band’s new bassist, dig up a Dodo, resolve a rhetorical riddle, resurrect the Lamb, expose some extraterrestrials, serenade a Duchess, and wax nostalgic while basking in the fire’s Afterglow. Vince knows what he likes, and I like what he knows. It’s getting better in this episode, stepping one beyond your show.

#28 ~ The Genesis Show

Vince Corda relishes his role as “Chester Thompson” in The Genesis Show, a suddenly successful cover band from the Vineland area of southern New Jersey. Vince's sheer enthusiasm sets our beat as he explains how/why The Genesis Show formed, brief bios on the members, and the dedication that went into recreating each song to near perfection.

Anthony Oliver makes his second non-corporeal appearance on the one year anniversary of The Opus Marcus Podcast

For your edification, this episode was lovingly prerecorded from the future by a cloud of time traveling nanobots who transmute Anthony's rants into powerfully pertinent prognostications.

Afterward, I read aloud an instruction manual for the  craziest 8-bit video game never played.
